The Proface PLC module 5302-MBP-MCM4 is an industrial protocol gateway module designed for Modbus Plus to Modbus protocol conversion, supporting master-slave mode. Its core function is to enable seamless integration between different industrial communication protocols, making it suitable for integration scenarios within industrial automation, distributed control systems (DCS), and safety instrumented systems (SIS). The module is based on an Intel Atom Z510/Z530 processor (1.1GHz/1.6GHz) and paired with 1GB of DDR2 SDRAM, ensuring efficient data processing. It also features a rich set of interfaces, including digital I/O: 6-bit GPIO supporting general-purpose input and output control. Expansion interfaces include one PCI slot and one PC/104+ expansion port, compatible with third-party hardware modules. Storage and communication interfaces include one IDE port, two SATA ports, five serial ports, six USB 2.0 ports, and dual Ethernet ports (100M and 100M). The module boasts strong environmental adaptability, with an operating temperature range of -20°C to 70°C (optionally -40°C to 80°C) and an IP54 protection rating (dust and splash proof), making it suitable for harsh industrial environments. Furthermore, the module offers anti-interference capabilities, suppressing electromagnetic interference through optical isolation technology, and supports a wide input voltage range (DC 12V 3A). For safety and reliability, it supports a watchdog timer with a range of 1 to 255 seconds/minute to prevent system lockup, and an optional redundant power input (AT/ATX jumper) enhances system stability.
