Installation environment

Prepare a protected carrier installation with access to the terminal screws, identification strip and module connection.

Mount the terminal on the carrier before fitting its electronic module.
Select conductors within 0.14–2.5 mm² and check that each clamp securely holds its wire.
Inspect the polarised keys and connectors without bypassing an incompatible key arrangement.
Maintain the intrinsically safe wiring arrangement and the segregation required by the approved circuit.

Retain the approved installation drawing and record the controlled acceptance checks.

Signal function: Use the RTD terminal with the matching RTD acquisition electronics.
Excitation arrangement: The certificate annex describes a module-supplied current source common to the eight channels.
Wiring arrangement: The examined IECEx annex describes three-wire channels; retain the applicable approved assembly drawing.
Energy limits: Observe the 30 V component voltage limit and 0.9 W input-power limit together with the complete circuit assessment.
Physical fit: Allow for the terminal body and tagging strip as well as electronic-module clearance.

Preserve the approved circuit drawing, correct terminal keying and field-wire identification when replacing the terminal assembly.
