The floating thermocouple interface supports low-level temperature signals with cold-junction compensation. Select the sensor type, temperature scale and open-wire behavior using the module configuration switches.

Installation environment

Prepare the installation with the process in a safe state and verify the following points.

Mount away from rapidly changing heat sources to protect cold-junction accuracy.
Use shielded sensor wiring with the correct thermocouple polarity.
Short unused thermocouple channels or connect them in parallel with a used channel as specified.
Record DIP-switch positions and check all channels after the required power cycle.

Retain the approved installation drawing and record the controlled acceptance checks.
