Model decoding – 200155 = low‑frequency accelerometer for Trendmaster ProTIM systems. 18 = mounting stud option: 3/8‑24 to M8×1, 1‑3/8 inch hex plate stud. CN = multi‑agency hazardous‑area approvals covering NEPSI, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx.
Product positioning – Purpose‑built for low‑frequency vibration monitoring (recommended for frequencies of interest below 10 Hz). Primary applications: Fin‑Fan coolers, slow‑speed rotating shafts, small to medium steam turbines, mining equipment (ball mills, crushers), water treatment and paper mill large pumps, as well as auxiliary fans and gearboxes in petrochemical plants. It interfaces with ProTIMs, 1900/25 and 1900/27 monitors, but must be used only with low‑frequency acceleration‑to‑velocity channel types (e.g., ProTIM option -05) due to its long settling time.
Sensing principle – Contains a ceramic shear‑mode piezoelectric element that generates a charge under vibration. The internal electronics convert this charge into a differential voltage output proportional to acceleration along the sensor’s sensitive axis. The shear geometry minimises base strain and thermal transient effects.
Electrical characteristics – Sensitivity at 80 Hz: 10.2 mV/(m/s²) (100 mV/g) ±12%. Measurement range: ±196 m/s² (±20 g). Frequency response: 1.5 Hz to 10,000 Hz (90 to 600,000 cpm) referenced to 80 Hz ±10%. Mounted resonant frequency: >20 kHz. Amplitude linearity: ±2% from 1 to 10 g peak. Transverse sensitivity: ≤7%. Electrical isolation: 600 Vrms. Output bias voltage: +2.5 ± 0.23 Vdc. Excitation: 4.7 to 5.5 Vdc at <800 µA quiescent current. Usage notes – The 200155 has higher broadband electrical noise (2.5 mg vs 1.5 mg for the 200150) and a much longer settling time, so it is not a direct replacement for the 200150 in general‑purpose applications. Use only with low‑frequency ProTIM options or DSM/System 1 channels that support the extended settling period. Cable length is limited to 15.24 m (50 ft) for the 200155. The CN approval includes China NEPSI certification, making it suitable for installations requiring Chinese explosion‑proof compliance.
