Product Description
The Bently Nevada 24765-01-01 Case Expansion Sensor Assembly (DC) is a precision measurement device designed specifically for rotating machinery. It monitors the thermal expansion of large equipment such as steam turbines, gas turbines, and compressors in real time, ensuring safe operating clearances during startup, shutdown, and load changes, and preventing structural damage caused by uneven expansion.
Core Function: Converts mechanical displacement measured by an LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) or eddy-current probe into a standard DC voltage signal (typically 0–10 V or ±10 V). This signal is directly connected to the Bently 3500/3300 monitoring system, enabling continuous monitoring of differential expansion or case expansion.
Mechanical Design: The entire stainless steel housing is corrosion-resistant and vibration-resistant. An integrated spring return mechanism (code 01) ensures reliable probe retraction during equipment cooling, preventing measurement failures caused by probe jamming.
