Construction, Interfaces, and Safety Features
Cable Type & Protection: Features the FluidLoc cable option with a hermetic seal that effectively prevents oil and other liquids from migrating through the cable interior.
Mechanical Design: Incorporates the patented CableLoc design, providing enhanced pull strength for a secure attachment between the cable and the connector.
Connectors: Terminated with corrosion‑resistant, gold‑plated ClickLoc connectors for reliable conductivity and a secure connection.
Materials & Build: The cable is constructed with a 75Ω triaxial, FEP‑insulated design. It has a nominal capacitance of 69.9 pF/m (21.3 pF/ft). The cable weighs approximately 34 g/m (0.4 oz/ft).
Electrical Interface: The cable has a nominal DC resistance of 0.88 ± 0.13 Ω for the center conductor and 0.26 ± 0.05 Ω for the outer conductor.
System Integration: The total length of the probe and this extension cable must equal the Proximitor Sensor’s specified total length.
Field Wiring: Compatible with 16 to 24 AWG shielded triad cable for connections from the Proximitor Sensor to the monitor, with a maximum recommended length of 305 meters (1,000 feet).
Fluid Sealing: The FluidLoc design provides robust protection against fluid ingress, with a static pressure resistance of 5 bar (73 psi) and cyclic resistance of 3 bar (44 psi).
Environmental Sealing: The cable includes silicone self‑fusing tape as an alternative to connector protectors for additional sealing. However, this tape is not recommended for applications where the connection will be exposed to turbine oil.
Certifications: This specific variant carries the “00” suffix, indicating it does not require agency approvals for hazardous areas.
Durability: The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range, from ‑51°C to +177°C (‑60°F to +351°F).
