Theory of Operation
With a 1.5‑in standoff and 5.1‑in penetration sleeve, this housing achieves 6.6‑in total insertion – the deepest configuration in this group, intended for thick casings or targets positioned well inside the machine interior. The extended reach positions the sensing tip closer to the shaft surface while maintaining the standard 3/4‑14 NPT mounting and single conduit fitting. Despite the deeper profile, the 6.6‑in C+D dimension remains under the 12‑in resonance threshold, though users should verify installation conditions. The PPS body with conductive fibers delivers Type 4X and IP66 ratings and electrostatic dissipation. Supplied without probe or cable, it accepts field‑selected 3300 XL 8 mm, NSv, or 11 mm transducers. External access permits gap tuning and probe replacement without machine teardown. API 670 compliant. Retaining nut torque: 29.4 N·m; impact ratings: 7 J at ambient, 4 J at ‑39°C to +115°C.
