Product Description
The 31000-28-05-40-040-02-02 Proximity Probe Housing Assembly is used to mount and protect proximity probes on rotating equipment for vibration and shaft position monitoring. This model is supplied without a probe and extension cable, allowing it to be matched with suitable monitoring components already installed. It includes a 5-inch standoff adapter, 4.0-inch probe penetration, one 3/4-14 NPT conduit fitting with two plugs, and a 3/4-14 NPT mounting thread. The housing supports external probe installation and provides access for probe adjustment and maintenance without removing the equipment connection. It is built with a durable housing structure and stainless steel hardware for industrial applications. The assembly meets API 670 requirements for externally mounted proximity probe housings and can be used with approved transducer systems in hazardous area applications. It is commonly installed on compressors, turbines, pumps, and other rotating machinery where stable probe positioning and reliable monitoring are required.
