Core Functions
How the System Works
The 3300 XL 8 mm system is an eddy-current proximity transducer system.
It produces an output voltage that changes directly with the distance between the probe tip and a conductive target.
This allows the system to obtain:
Static measurements: position
Dynamic measurements: vibration
The probe is one component of the complete measurement system and should be matched with the correct system components.
Probe and Connector Design
The 3300 XL probe uses design features developed for reliable industrial installation.
The probe incorporates the TipLoc molding method, which provides a robust bond between the probe tip and probe body.
Its cable uses the CableLoc design, providing a rated probe-cable pull strength of 330 N (75 lbf).
The system uses corrosion-resistant, gold-plated ClickLoc connectors. Compatible XL connectors require only finger-tight torque and use a locking mechanism to help prevent loosening.
