Product Overview
The Bently Nevada 330102-08-96-10-02-00 is a configured 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe with a 3/8-24 UNF thread and armor.It is part of the Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System, an eddy-current proximity measurement system designed to measure both static position and dynamic vibration. The complete transducer system consists of a 3300 XL 8 mm probe, a 3300 XL extension cable, and a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor.For this exact probe configuration, the ordering code defines a 0.8-inch unthreaded length, 9.6-inch overall case length, 1.0-meter total length, miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with standard cable, and no agency approval option.

Probe Construction and Durability
The 3300 XL probe incorporates Bently Nevada's TipLoc molding method to provide a robust bond between the probe tip and probe body.
The probe cable uses a CableLoc design providing 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength to provide a secure connection between the probe cable and probe tip.
Bently Nevada also states that the 8 mm probe provides a thicker encapsulation of the probe coil in its molded PPS plastic probe tip.
The larger probe body diameter provides a stronger and more robust case. Bently Nevada recommends using 8 mm probes when possible for optimal robustness against physical abuse.
Electrical Performance of the 3300 XL 8 mm System
When the probe is used as part of the specified 3300 XL 8 mm transducer system, the official system specifications include: Linear Range: 2 mm (80 mils)
The linear range begins at approximately 0.25 mm (10 mils) from the target and extends from approximately 0.25 to 2.3 mm (10 to 90 mils), corresponding approximately to -1 Vdc to -17 Vdc.
Recommended Gap Setting for Radial Vibration: -9 Vdc, approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils)
Incremental Scale Factor — Standard 5 m or 1 m System: 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) ±5%, including interchangeability error under the conditions defined by Bently Nevada.
Output Resistance: 50 Ω
