Theory of Operation
This armored probe with M10×1 metric threads delivers a 90 mm case and 1.0 m system length. The zero unthreaded tip allows flush mounting close to the target. Equipped with a standard FEP cable and a pre‑installed connector protector, the assembly ensures reliable signal transmission in harsh environments. Its eddy‑current operation relies on a high‑frequency oscillator within the Proximitor sensor; the probe coil’s impedance shifts with the distance to the conductive surface. The sensor linearly converts this shift into a negative DC voltage (‑1 to ‑17 Vdc) over a 2 mm linear range. This output faithfully represents both steady shaft positions and rapid vibrational displacements, making the system suitable for bearing monitoring without needing component matching.
