A metric M10×1 threaded probe with integral armor, this model features a 40 mm unthreaded forward section – a deliberate design to increase mounting depth flexibility in thick casing walls. The 90 mm case and 1.0 m total length remain standard, while the connector protector safeguards the ClickLoc interface. What distinguishes this variant is its hazardous‑area certification (CSA, ATEX, IECEx), enabling safe use in explosive atmospheres. The underlying sensing mechanism is unchanged: alternating eddy currents induced in the target modify the probe’s resonant impedance, which the Proximitor demodulates to a proportional voltage. With a typical scale factor of 7.87 V/mm and interchangeability within ±5%, it offers stable performance across 0–45°C, even with the extended unthreaded zone.
