Modification specifics – The 145004 modification series re‑calibrates the Proximitor sensor for non‑standard target metals; suffix “‑15” corresponds to AISI 416 stainless. Calibration is performed at +23 °C ±3 °C. This change may increase probe interchange sensitivity and E‑zero tolerance compared to standard AISI 4140 calibration. Temperature‑related permeability effects are expected to be similar to 4140 but have not been fully characterised at extreme temperatures.
General role – Acts as the signal‑conditioning engine for the 3300 XL 8 mm eddy‑current transducer system. Converts the probe’s RF signal into a DC voltage proportional to probe‑to‑target gap, enabling both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) measurements.
