Product Description
The Honeywell FS-TSGAS-1624 is a conformally coated, high-density safe gas and flame detector input Field Termination Assembly (FTA) module utilized in Safety Manager systems. Operating with 16 input channels that share a common 0V analog reference line, this module directly interfaces with field-mounted gas or flame detectors and links to a safe high-density analog input module SAI-1620m via a dedicated system interconnection cable. Each of its 16 channels routes standard 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA field current signals through an onboard, high-precision 500 Ω linear conversion resistor, transforming the current loop into a 0–4 V DC analog voltage signal recognizable by the safe controller card. For hardware-level loop isolation and fault containment, every individual current-sinking or current-sourcing supply output channel is fitted with its own 500 mA fast-acting fuse. External 24V DC logic power is fed onto the board via high-current screw terminal pairs labeled A and B, which allows the system software to continuously sense the voltage status of the external supply while drawing a base idle current of only 3 mA under no-load conditions.
